Steam artichokes until the outer leaves are just tender. |

Remove to a plate and set aside until cool enough to handle. |

In the meantime, prepare the grill, and prepare the dressing. |

For the dressing, combine lemon juice and 1/2 cup olive oil and season with salt and pepper. |

When the artichokes are cool enough to handle, cut each one into quarters using a heavy knife. |

Brush each quarter with olive oil and grill for 5-8 minutes, turning often until slightly charred. |

To serve, place 4 pieces on each plate and drizzle with dressing. |
